Bulliber Camp
South of the village of Castle Martin & within the MOD firing range (which I went to a few weeks back and saw a tank firing off rounds and an APC wanging-off tracer rounds. An unforgettable experience) lies the multivallate partial contour hillfort, Bulliber Camp and just to the east the (possible) hillslope fort, Warman's hill (The names are reversed on the 1864 map). 19th century reports of 'well-made pottery' suggested Romano-British or post Roman occupation. As it lies within the MOD Firing Range Danger Area it won't be investigated for a while. Last survey in 2007. Warman's Hill is still under investigation but as mentioned above it's not likely to happen for some time. Early quarrying on site. Last survey in 2007. Both sites remain undated.
