Castell Gilfach Gam

DTM- (Digital Terrain Model, i.e. No buildings or foliage) Overlooking the village of Cwm-Morgan 1.6km due south and now hidden within woodland lies the small inland promontory fort, Castell Gilfach Gam. Possible twin rock-cut ditches bisect the site from the headland. Not on 1st OS Map but first mention in RCAHM in 1925. Last site visit in 2007. No recorded excavations or finds, hence undated. (Scheduled monument) Iron Age tribal association (conjecture based on location): Demetae Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
