Chynhalls Point
DTM- (Digital Terrain Model, i.e. No buildings or foliage) Sited on a promontory just south of Coverack lies the Iron Age hillfort, Chynhalls Point. Defended by two large earth & stone banks bisecting the headland. WW2 concrete pillbox erected on the site. Heavily degraded by coastal erosion. First written reference in 19th century by R.Thomas. Last site visit in 1973. No recorded finds or excavations, hence undated.
