Crickley Hill
DTM- (Digital Terrain Model, i.e. No buildings or foliage) Just to the west of Ullenwood in the Crinkley Hill Country Park lies the promontory hillfort, Crinkley Hill. Excavations between 1969 & 1993 found an earlier neolithic causeway & settlement before the phased construction of the hillfort today. Hillfort burnt completely after 2nd phase of construction then abandoned. Re-occupied for last rampart building phase. No listed Roman finds but there were medieval pottery finds. Subsequent minor quarrying within boundaries. Considered an important site. Iron Age tribal association (conjecture based on location): Dobunni (Scheduled Monument)
