DTM- (Digital Terrain Model, i.e. No buildings or foliage) Between the villages of Wolf's Castle and Treffgarne & across the A40 lies not only Great Treffgarne Rocks Camp but Poll Carn, Little Treffgarne Camp, Little Treffgarne Wood Camp and Nant-Y-Coy. Great Treffgarne Rocks Camp: Small partial contour hillfort. 50M high cliffs overlook river. Defined by single bank & well-defined ditch. Un-enclosed roundhouse platforms west of the site. Poll Carn: Possible partial contour hillfort. Defined by degraded bivallate bank and ditch. Possible chevaux de fries on E side. Interior free of loose rocks & stone which may indicate occupation. Little Treffgarne Camp: Small, defended enclosure consisting of a 1m high bank. Treffgarne Wood Camp: Enclosure divided by a fence-line. Treffgarne Gorge: Discovered in 2008. This is one of the best examples of a small defended enclosure in west Wales Nant-Y-Coy: Defines by 0.3m high bank. Considering the amount going on in this area I'm surprised to read that there have been no recorded finds on any of these sites. No recorded excavations, hence undated (All sites).
