Langdon Hills
DTM- (Digital Terrain Model, i.e. No buildings or foliage) Within the Langdon Hills Country Park lies the site of a large settlement & possible fort. Discovered in 1966. Gravel quarrying has degraded the whole area, although the embankments running the contours of the hills are still evident. Excavation of two mounds in 1966 found various burnt pottery and bone fragments. Surface pottery finds dated to Bronze Age. (Circa 700BC) The area later became a medieval deer park. Last field survey in 1995. Iron Age tribal association (conjecture based on location): Catuvellauni or Trinovantes (Un-Scheduled Monument)
