

DTM- (Digital Terrain Model, i.e. No buildings or foliage) To the north of Ashburton and west of the quarry & atop Tower Hill lies the heavily ploughed-out (possible) contour hillfort, Place Wood (or Tower Hill Castle). First recorded in 1789. There have been field visits but no recorded finds, hence the site remains undated.
