Uley Bury Camp
DTM- (Digital Terrain Model, i.e. No buildings or foliage) To the east of Dursley lies the village of Uley. Overlooking Uley from the northwest lies the huge bivallate hillfort, Uley Bury. Finds include: Dubonic gold stater (Dobunni tribe iron age coin). Roman quern (grinding stone for wheat, etc.) Roman burial. Bronze mask. (un-recorded date period) Last excavated in 1976 where many iron age pottery finds were recorded, also many flint artefacts were also found, bringing the sites occupation back to the neolithic.
