DTM- (Digital Terrain Model, i.e. No buildings or foliage) To the east of Halwell and bisected by the A3122 lies the univallate level terrain hillfort, Halwell Camp. Ploughed-out interior, thus heavily degraded. Original entrance probably destroyed by road construction. Two late neolithic or Late Bonze Age bowl barrows to the north of the site. Unexcavated, hence undated. Iron Age tribal association (conjecture based on location): Dumnonii (Scheduled Monument) [Any descriptive text is attributed to the Atlas of Hillforts & Historic England websites and any associated archaeological descriptions online which will be credited accordingly.]
