The Round - Kenwyn
DTM- (Digital Terrain Model, i.e. No buildings or foliage) Just above Threemilestone, Truro & ringed by trees is the heavily degraded by ploughing (still) multivallate hillslope fort, The Round. Reported to have traces of mounds inside the defences in the early 20th century but subsequent stone removal & ploughing have destroyed all vestiges. Last site visit in 1965. The opposite promontory to the east contains a confirmed round, Penventinnie. Now 'protected' by a ring of trees. No recorded excavations or finds, hence undated. Iron Age tribal association (conjecture based on location): Dumnonii (Scheduled Monument) [Any descriptive text attributed to the Atlas of Hillforts & Historic England websites]
