Bishops Wood
DTM- (Digital Terrain Model, i.e. No buildings or foliage) Just north of Truro and west of the A39 and hidden in woodland but visible on Google Earth lies the ovoid univallate partial contour hillfort, Bishops Wood. First written reference in 1740 by W. Borlase's Parochial Memoranda. No recorded excavations or finds, hence undated. Iron Age tribal association (conjecture based on location): Dumnonii (Scheduled Monument) [Any descriptive text attributed to the Atlas of Hillforts & Historic England websites]
