Trelaske Wood
DTM- (Digital Terrain Model, i.e. No buildings or foliage) In between Lewannick and South Petherwin & hidden in woodland lies the very small hillslope fort (or round), Trelaske Wood. SE ditch damaged by vehicle track. Due to size & morphology the sites definition is contested between a defended enclosure or round as opposed to a bone-fide hill(slope)fort. Last site visit in 1984. I didn't render an oblique view as the site didn't justify it. No recorded excavations or finds, hence undated. Iron Age tribal association (conjecture based on location): Dumnonii (Scheduled Monument) [Any descriptive text attributed to the Atlas of Hillforts & Historic England websites]
