

DTM- (Digital Terrain Model, i.e. No buildings or foliage) Sitting atop Barrack Hill alongside the A49 in Aconbury, Herefordshire lies the univallate partial contour hillfort, Aconbury Camp. The only known occupation of this site, post Roman Britain was during the English Civil War by the Royalist Army in 1642 and the Scots Army in 1645. It is now heavily wooded and been subject to minor quarrying over the years. Excavations between 1948 and 1951. Finds include Iron Age & Roman pottery and the evidence supporting occupation during the English Civil War. (Scheduled monument)
