DTM- (Digital Terrain Model, i.e. No buildings or foliage) Situated just to the southwest of Ashwell in Hertfordshire lies the small oval or horseshoe shaped hillfort, Arbury Banks. One of six similar forts that run across the Chilterns. Small excavations found evidence of internal structures. It has been speculated that this site was the possible location of Boudica’s defeat at the Battle of Watling Street but this site is nowhere near Watling Street but it is boxed-in by three Roman roads, including nearby Ermine Street and Via Devana.
