Merrion Camp

DTM- (Digital Terrain Model, i.e. No buildings or foliage) Southwest of the town of Pembroke lies the village of Merrion which itself sits just north of the Castlemartin training area. Overlooking Merrion from the NE lies the multivallate defended enclosure, Merrion Camp. Outworks almost destroyed by ploughing. The DYFED HER site gives us a find report: ‘An urn was once dug up here, but it fell to pieces.’ (Attributed to Fenton) Brilliant! No recorded excavations or finds, hence undated.
